Representative Director, President
Yoshihiko Kifune
Profile
President of the SHO-SEKKEI Group, Inc. born in 1953. After graduating from the Department of Architecture at Tokyo Denki University, he worked for a major design firm before going independent in 1985 and founding the SHO-SEKKEI’s predecessor company. Two years later, he established this company as a joint-stock corporation and he has served as its president and representative director ever since.
Enjoyment is the Highest Value.
During the current era of drastic change, as a comprehensive construction-specialized architectural consulting company that designs new buildings and also handles a wide range of other building-related tasks, all of us at the SHO-SEKKEI Group are working together to reach our target of achieving total sales of more than 150,000 units.
We believe that the fundamental problem with urban structures in Japan is the condition of the existing building stock, which necessitates the reconstruction or renovation of a vast number of aging buildings constructed during the period of rapid economic growth. On top of that, Japan is facing a wide range of issues with implications for architecture and construction, including a low birthrate, an aging population, disaster response, energy conservation, and the need to implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We see our mission as to help clearly resolve these issues and achieve these goals throughout the building design, reconstruction, and construction phases.
The SHO-SEKKEI Group will remain responsive to the demands of the era and continue to focus on accumulating technology and expanding our organization with a focus on building improvement, preservation, and restoration design as important elements of the building cycle.
In addition, we will continue to flexibly adapt to the changing times, acquire and refine technology and problem-solving skills that are useful to society, and strive to become Japan’s number-one consulting company in the field of comprehensive architectural consulting.
